Storage Rules: What Can and Can't Be Stored?

Items Not Permitted

 

Hazardous & Flammable Materials

  • Fuels & Gases: Gasoline, Propane tanks, Kerosene, Oil, Grease, Compressed gas.

  • Chemicals: Acid, Chlorine bleach, Ammonia, Fertilizer, Paint, Paint thinner, Turpentine, Acetone.

  • Dangerous Goods: Explosives, Fireworks, Radioactive materials, Asbestos, Toxic waste.

Perishables & Living Things

  • Living Organisms: No plants, birds, fish, or animals of any kind.

  • Food: No fresh food, pet food, or perishable goods that could attract pests.

Prohibited & Illegal Goods

  • Vehicles: Unregistered or uninsured vehicles. (Note: Registered/Insured vehicles are allowed in designated units).
  • Illegal Items: Stolen property, drugs, or illicit goods.
  • Weapons: Firearms, ammunition, and explosives.
  • Other: Wet/damp items (to prevent mold), tires, and anything producing noxious odors.

What is Allowed?

Generally, most household and business items can be stored safely in our secure facility. Common stored items include:

  • Household Goods: Furniture, appliances, electronics, clothing, and seasonal decorations.
  • Business Items: Office archives, documents, surplus inventory, and trade tools.
  • Vehicles: Cars, motorcycles, or small boats (Must be registered, insured, and in working condition). Please check with management for vehicle storage requirements.

Important Policies

  • Valuables: While our facility is secure, we recommend you keep irreplaceable items (heirlooms, cash, jewelry) in a safety deposit box, not in self-storage.
  • Management Rights: The owner has the final say on what constitutes a prohibited item. Storing non-permitted goods may result in fines or immediate removal of the items.
